yep used the one picture above…and it works like diamonds. super easy.

copper pipe from Canadian tire and some ready rod…..$20 all in….

I found it hard to find a bolt the right length so ready rod is probably better to accommodate any length of head tube without all the spacers and if you got an old flat XC handlebar kicking around they work great for getting the cups out

An old seat post will work instead of the copper pipe as well.

He would have run out of threads on his bolt before the headset was pressed all the way in without all those washers!

My bad, I just assumed he was using all-thread. My thought was that it had something to do with not bending the washers.

those large bolts are never threaded all the way to the head of the bolt thats why you wana use ready rod instead of a bolt cuz if you use an 8" piece of ready rod you can instal any head set with just 2 washers and 2 bolts
