But think how including those o-rings for that particular kit would affect the corporate bottom line!
$1 across the whole company per year? Hmm, that's probably even high. Looks like they run maybe 1¢/ea retail price in bulk. https://www.amazon.com/Assortment-Professional-Plumbing-Automotive-Connections/dp/B097HTL184/ref=asc_df_B097HTL184/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=598250016210&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14920616164355209086&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9032810&hvtargid=pla-1658093892650&psc=1
Don’t worry, they include them n the caliper rebuild kits.
Oh… wait.
I have a couple dozen of those things in my brake parts bin. I guess they came with complete brakes?
Aren't the banjo bolt and o-rings part of the replacement hose kit? I wouldn't consider it part of the caliper.
Banjo bolt in the kit but no orings.
Lordco ftmfw
Not Shimano but just got a hose for Magura brakes and comes with banjo and o rings, so I guess it's kinda common thing.

That’s what I was thinking. All the Shimano brakes in my garage, that’s five sets, have that semi permanent hose to banjo attachment.
The banjo bolt comes with the caliper because they are different lengths for 2 vs 4 piston brakes. Last time I bought a banjo bolt the guy at the shop asked me if I needed the o rings too, and I remember being surprised that wasn’t a kit.
Kinda felt like buying a shift cable and not getting a cable end to go with it.
