Helmet or Handlebar Lights?

They're probably all from the same factory as the X2, but 2 weeks ago I bought a couple of RioRand 2X (1500lm) off of Amazon for $30/ea. They look identical to the set I bought locally for $100 last year. At this price, I'd be happy if they got me through a year.

FYI...the set I bought last year is still working fine.....I was just looking to add a set to my handlebars. Because of the price, I picked up another one for my son.

What's the new lights to have?  Light & Motion? Gemini? Leyzene?  My old GeoMan Gear bar and helmet lights are dying.  Would like to replace them at some point. Helmet light first.

how much do you have to spend? As someone pointed out, that $200-300 area feels like a sweet spot to me. Paying over $400 for a single light is too much me so the geminis have hit this sweet spot - especially the duo for a helmet mount. I'm still trying out the coastal gear lights and so far the only weak spots seem to to be batteries. For that I'm happy to shell out for the aftermarket multi battery packs from gemini which switch in easily enough.

I have this on the helmet. More than enough light.  If you only run the highest brightness on the descents you get tons of time out of a charge.

Have this on the bars.

I have the Gemini Duo and the single for the handlebar.  Tons of light.  For me I think the light is maybe too white/hard, but I have little experience with riding lights in recent years to know if something more expensive has a beam patter that gives more depth.  But for me, they offer a crazy amount of brightness, and very long battery life.

I'd love to see a GoPro to silicone o-ring mount made by some company.

Gemini looks to be a solid option for myself.

I run my Gemini DUO off a universal GO-PRO mount . I did machine up an adapter to mount the light to the GP mount.

I didn't like the half circle/silicon o-ring mount, did some google searching for diy hacks and found a good one to make a go pro mount. so I took off the half mount and used some 3-way go pro mounts, grabbed some 25mm m4 bolts, a stack of washers and spacers from my tool box and came up with this...super happy with it, very stable, and easy to take on and off, also have one for my bar mounted light, picked up a go pro bar mount too. I also shoogooed the hole the cable comes out as it was pretty big and seemed prime for water ingress. Rode in some of the heaviest rain I've ever ridden in this fall and no issues whatsoever.
