i don't know much about the moto world but was in a shop recently and saw that they have a solution to smashing fingers and hands on trees n branches. they are called 'handgaurds'. who knew.
anyone ever adapted these or made their own version for mtn bikes? i've never seen anything of the sort. seems like a decent idea for those of us who have broken bones hitting trees and still have some fear about it.

If you look at the old NSX video's I think it was Ken Maude who ran a set. Will Craig runs a set as well though that would be more to protect his prosthetic handlebar connector.

they'll likely fit MTB bars without too much modification, but good luck being a weight weenie or look cool at the park.

I remember wanting these back in the day.
I ride with two guys that rock bark busters.
Clayton has a home-made 4130 singlespeed, high pivot, jackshaft, monster trucking bike. PB runs a sunday with totem. They both shred.
i would not dream of riding a woods moto bike with out them, and they may have a place on some bikes. Weight is the cost, but it provides insurance for your break levers too.
Maybe a single point bolt on one would trim the weight.
