I'm new to mtb and would like to grab a pair of gloves. Last season I used a set of XC gloves I got at MEC but they've stretched a bit so this time I'm going to get something that fits a bit tighter new. Something that breaths relatively well as I tend to run hot, any suggestions?
gloves
The POC gloves are a fav of mine, they are long in the fingers without being too big so they fit my digits really well. The best thing is to go to a shop with a good selection and just try a bunch on.
Jon-boy.
POC index airs have lasted me about 40 or so days in the park. Amazing.
Had a pair of hit pink Troy Lee Design XCs that were pretty good.
Now I've picked up a pair of Giro DJs that are pretty darn good. Really airy between the fingers, minimal padding, nicest thumb wipe I've felt. Actually may start to wear gloves on pedally bike rides again
That said, go to a shop that has lots of gloves and try on them all and get what fits you the best
Why slag free swag?
ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.
You really do have to try'em all on…subtle, or big, fit differences.
Knuckle protection has saved me damage so many times…My first "good" bail of the yr left major gouges in mine already (now if only I was wearing my elbow guards instead of tryin' to be cool like the cool DJ kids:rolleyes:…ouch!)
Haven't had these long enough to give a long term review…but love'em!
After fit and a decently cheap price, I look for as few seams and different materials as possible. The more seams there are the better chance of something coming apart. If the gloves are super cheap though, I don't really care too much. I got some pretty simple TLD's last fall. White so they look dirty really quick but $19.00? White starts looking really good at that price.
Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.
