they're scrambling to just keep afloat atm. sounds like production of any sort is currently on hold.

That's a bummer.

Feel like a small builder besides Nicolai needs to get some gearboxes out there.

Why slag free swag?

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

I'm right in the middle of doing up my first couple MTB gearbox frames. Ti AM hardtails. The touring/roady frame has been awesome.
Will throw pics up when they're done. Should be 6-8 weeks from now (fingers crossed)
Plan is to be building them in BC whenever I get back home, I'll have a small little frame company rocking.

Sorry for the sidetrack, but I'm told that things are looking up. Let's hope so.

Largest issue I have with Pinion is the grip-twist changer. :/

They need to develop a trigger or adapt one like Effie-Gear is attempting. Or go electric…

interestingly, they built a high pivot shorter travel test mule prior to releasing the dh bike. no indication that they intend to go into production with something like this, however.

Actually when I was there to test the new DH bike in September the Commencal guys were pretty open about a production version of that mule being in the works. A full "Enduro" bike along the lines of the GT Sanction.

Also on the rearward travel topic… this is my good friend Rob that I went to university with. He likes to ride his bikes hard (I know no one that comes close to the number of frames he's cracked) and fast. I wonder if we could convince him to get a gearbox version of this bike going?

My friend Rob or the bike? :)

I'm keen to get a ride on the beast but he is being his usual perfectionist self and hasn't given me a sniff yet until it's finalized.

super sick that is. except for the lack of water bottle mount, of course.

a bit disappointed zerode didn't follow through with a high pivot on the taniwha.

cool news re: the commencal. i could be all over that. good bang for the buck, those bikes.
