Well, hopefully I'll be getting some new cranks soon. Im trying to keep the whole set up for a new bb, cranks, and chainguide under 300(us)

The FSA's are 145 at unrealcycles, and that includes the bb assembly spacers, spider, that kind of stuff.

Evil Guide is 119 at unrealcycles.
Thats 264.

MRP Bones Combo Is simarly priced isn't it like 260 ish as well?

Where could i get some MRP's?

Anyone with The FSA's, it says that included in the kit is some chainwheel adapters or something, does this mean that you can mount up a 5 bolt, 110 spaced chainring and bash? Or can you only do a 4 bolt 94 spaced or whatever?

thanks
Tim

The FSA X-Drives come with a 4 bolt spider. A variety of different ones can be bought for them to run different bolt patterns…

edit again: sorry, I thought you meant V-Drives for some reason

haha, i too was in this EXACT same dillema, and decided to go with th evil fsa combo. i ordered the guide and a new chainring yesterday, and im gunna wait till i make more money before i can buy my cranks. the spider on the fsa cranks is not built in and im sure you can get a different spider for it, if you look on unreal cycles you will see it not attacked to the crank. i hope this helps.

the Mrp combo isnt that great imo…
The BB bearings starts to crap out pretty quick. They dont spin that nice for that long and creak like a mofo.
The guide that comes with it makes alot of noise also.
The chain bounces around alot between the rings and sounds like a bell or something

The FSA's spider is not attached, so you can get any combination you want, but you'll need to specify which one you want. Mine came with a 5 bolt standard spacing, and I needed a 5 bolt compact. At that time, (Nov/Dec 02) the 5 bolt compact was new and difficult to get ahold of. If anyone needs a 5 bolt standard spider, I have one collecting dust.

Yeah, i knew that the spider wasn't attached, and you can buy new ones, i was just wondering if the kit came with something that would fit a 5 bolt.

So when i get my guide and cranks, i might take that 5 bolt spider from ya Dimes:)

Burnwood- I know your probably not familiar with the exchange rates, but wouldn't 200 cnd be like 140 us? at unreal its like 119.
