Wondering if anyone knows of (or owns) a vertical, free standing rack for keeping the bike indoors? Something similar to the link below, but preferably of higher quality/function.
Free standing bike rack
MEC used to have a rack that would lean against the wall and hang 2 bikes so I had them in the dining room, now that rack gets used to hang packs and stuff
My bike lives on a park pcs-10.
Not the primary reason I bought it, but it's nice to have.
I have one of these that you can have if you want it.
Ooh that one looks awesome ^
What was the problem with it/why is it no longer used?
I drilled a 2x4 into the wall of a small den and then drilled 4 hooks into the 2x4. In practice it’s slightly inconvenient to get bikes in and out of. The roommate and I each have one bike half-wheeled into the den, and any bikes we ise infrequently are hung on the hooks. I guess it’s better than having those infrequently used bikes hung in a place they’ll be stolen.
We used in our apartment and it was great to stack the bikes and stop leaning them on each other and to save a bit of space.
Into a bigger place now and have proper hooks and the space to maneuver around.
I have one like this https://www.feedbacksports.com/product/velo-cache-silver/ which used to be a Trek product. Works really well. The arms or adjustable independently so you can allow for sloping top tubes.
This one only leans against the wall. No drilling required.
Thx for all the suggestions. BikeSeymour, thanks for the offer.
I picked up one of the Thule stackers off of Craigslist, which should do the trick.
