FOX 40 performance?????

Can anyone tell me something about these forks? Fox doesn't even list it on their website. No high/low speed adjustments??

Fox 40 Performance, is also called the Fox 40R me thinks, per the wisdom of Pinkbike (link)

"There are two versions Fox 40 RC2 and the lower Fox 40R and yes it is missing the two compression setting but for $100 usually you can find a new cartridge on ebay to rebuild it and convert it to the RC2 so if its a good deal go for it if it will be cheaper to put the conversion."

i) Great Chassis to put an Avalanche cartridge into.

ii) Great Chassis to put an RC2 cartridge into if you know someone installing an Avy cartridge.

OEM only forks with an open bath, rebound only damper.

Fox's lineup is slit into Factory, Performance and Evolution series. Basically a way for product managers at bike co's to get a 'fox fork and shock' on their bike at a price point where you'd probably be better off with something else.

Fox has the highest quality innards. I have found that this does not make the best fork. The cheap plastickyness of rockshox works better. It hurts me to have this knowledge inside of my head.

we get a good solid 1 year warranty on all Fox here in the UK, with Mojo (Fox UK) generally taking care of customers whose warranty has run a couple days / weeks past the 1 year warranty run
