Fox 36 Van vs Float

I'm looking for a new fox fork. I currently ride a 06 36 van rc2 and love it. I was thinking of a float rc2 for my new bike (6" park bike) but was concerned about an air fork in the bike park. Could an air fork be as smooth as a coil? Does it heat up and suck halfway down? If anyone has any dirt on the float please let me know.

I've got a Float 36 R on my Hectik and it's so plush that it's about as smooth as my 888 RC2. It's pretty impressive, but I'm not sure I'd use it at the park… I didn't buy the bike to ride at Whistler, but rather the Shore.

Thanks for letting me know what poo feels like.
