Can a 140 Pike morph into a 150 with out changing stanchions/sliders?

Yup. Solo-Air I assume. Change out the air shaft for the 150mm (or 160) version. If you are comfortable servicing the lowers and have some internal snap-ring pliers it is pretty minor surgery. Your LBS should know what you are talking about when you ask for the part.

Is there any way to hot rod an RT3 Debonair?

Like extend the stroke another 5mm say. Actually stroke can stay the same but just make eyelet to eyelet distance greater?

Rear air shocks should have adjustable i2i just like forks do by using spacers n shit.

That way you wouldn't need to dick around with offset bushings and the likes. People could tune their bb heights properly.

I've had 3 beers but it makes sense right now tho

Do I deduce correctly from the RS web site that one can change the fork from solo to dual simply by swapping the damper?
Can travel be changed independently of above process?

To reduce travel on pike, you have to get new air shaft.
with 26" and 650b you can get 150mm shaft, 160mm shaft
29 you can get 120,140,150 and 160
you cannot retrofit solo air spring into dual position air CSU and vice versa
Mainly because the solo air CSU has +/- equalizer dimple built into the stanchion now
