Kinda of an oxymoron title, I get the pros/cons for plastic pedals...just cant justify $100+ for metal
Considering getting rid of my Nukeproof electrons as they are the wrong colorway. Based on cost and new product releases I've narrowed it down to these

A friend has has has been using nukeproof Horizon Comp 's and liked them, worth going on your list
The OneUps are really good as are the Chesters... I've used them both and they are both solid pedals. Can't go wrong with either.

The new Shimano Saints look pretty good, not sure on pricing in Canada... you could usually get the older Saint flats which were fine for $80ish on CRC.
Edit: $62CAD for old Saints on bike-discount.de. New Saints $140.
4 rides on the Wah Wah II and no complaints , much better platform when compared to the 1st gen. Rode those for 3 yrs , we will see how the plastic model lasts. I did pull them apart and repacked the bearings.

read a review that said the new WW's are very large, the biggest of the composites out there, big as Vaults. would be my choice based on that alone.
I've read nothing but great reviews for the kona and one up, probably going to get my hands on one or the other for my next bike
Honestly I think composite pedals are fantastic. Have run neutrons for a few years with no issue. Moving to cranbrothers clipless this year as I’m entering a clipless cycle but if I were upgrading my neutrons I would look at the oneups based purely on my experience of their other products.
