My rear rim has a few dents in it fom various impacts. Basically the bead has bent inwards in a few places.
What's the best way to bend it back? I saw an article on tool for this but I haven't see one in any shop.
Are vice grips the next best thing?

I think this article is pretty informative but honest the best way is to get two small pieces of steel and vise grip the two together, If you literally try to bend back aluminum it might bend back fine but a lot of times the material will fracture or even crack the weak spot right off.

Just leave the dents in the rim. You'll likely just do even more damage trying to bend them back.

I've always just used an adjustable wrench with a decent length. Just make sure you keep the jaws tight on the rim and go slow.

Now I just make sure to run enough tire pressure so the rim doesn't hit.

This… take it slow and easy.

I will try the wrench suggestions and look at that tool as well. Pisses me off because the rim is only
a few months old. It's a bontrager elite wheel. The comp I had before lasted three years without a major dent
It's already a huge bitch to get a minion to seat on this rim and now that the bead is bent I suspect it's going to
be impossible.

soapy water and an air compressor make seating tires much easier. might be worth a shot if you havent tried it already.

OH yes, soapy water or windex helps. Unfortunately I only have a floor pump. Those rims and minions are still a bitch though
