After 6 months of wife complaints about the Lev Integra's level being too hard to activate I decided to fix it.

I had a Fox DOSS remote lying around so I installed it in place of the stock remote. the extra length on the lever makes it's way easier to to drop the post.

using a doss lever on a gravity droppr has a similar result: super lightweight and smooth action

too bad they're so bloody expensive

Lots of aftermarket hop-up shifters available now, like the RF one to fix this issue. I don't understand why companies can't just spec a proper remote on droppers… it aint rocket surgery.

bit better, but still pretty steep (considering the exchange)

hacking an old front shifter might be the better dirtbag option  thanks chris

I just bought the Specialized command lever to use with my Thomson post and it's awesome.

I've got a modded XT shifter that I'd swap for a cheap six pack if anyone wants it. I've got a couple of Wank Bros Kronolog levers for when I buy a dropper again.

Recently grenaded an slx front shifter trying to make it not click to work as a better remote. Though even with the clicks I'd never have to push so far to engage the post anyways.

I love having a modded XT shifter as the remote. With the ispec mounts, it cleans up the controls on the bars nicely.

Took a bit of dicking around to make it work with the new Giant 150mm stealth post as usually the cable clamps at the remote. Now it's set up, it works great!

What did you do to make it work like that? I have a project tmars dropper that would need a similar treatment fixing the open end of the cable at the shifter

I hate to say it, but the Crankbros remote from old Joplin was really good.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

I used one of these from a KS post, filed down to fit, to secure the loose end of the cable at the bottom of the post.
