Maybe it's their way of admitting the HFX-9 was plagued with grub screws that would back out mid-ride, causing HFX-9 users to stop mid-ride to fix that design flaw by adjusting their brake lever?

That ad is classic. It's wasn't even done by some ESL company that had a bad translater!

OK, as far as marketing goes, this one is pretty funny. Personally I think people are too quick to judge the newer Hayes stuff. As I recall Rock Shox = total crap not that long ago. Then the Pike came out (which was of course met with initial e-slagging).

You see the same thing with Manitou right now.

I've not spent any time on the new Hayes stuff, but I can see how the bad rep was earned, given my experience with a set of Mags.

Huh? I see an indicator and he must be hauling. I agree though - it would suck if he didn't know what gear he was pushing.

"It's, like, so much fun."

Weird. Even ignoring the comedy, I've not adjusted my old XT brakes since 2006!

Hayes Stroker Ace brakes and Manitou Dorado Pro fork.

All kidding aside on the Prime ad, wait and try the brakes. They are very good.

I'll second that. Modern hayes =/= old Hayes.
