Externally mount brake line to internally routed frame

Has anyone externally routed their brake lines or shifter lines to a frame that is only meant to be externally routed? What did you use for cable route guides?

1. I don't want to cut and bleed my brakes to install them on the new bike. They're already the right length.

2. When I change the pads I also bleed them and do some maintenance on the calipers, usually off the bike because it's easier. I don't want to have to break the line to remove them from the bike for the service.

You can get stick-on ones?

I wonder if there would be any issue using an adhesive on a carbon frame. Would it be bad for the carbon?

wouldn't it^^ look like ass and totally negate the reason why you bought the carbon frame which would be to show off?

Depends what the adhesive is, and I guess how long you leave them on there - maybe ping evans and your frame manufacturer both an email and ask - I'm sure one of them will give a useful reply...

I think you could make it look good if you're careful.

I used some p-clips, two mounted to the water bottle holder and one to the cap that covers hole in the frame where there cable enters.

Looks alright and doesn't rattle.

On another subject,... I silenced the rattle on an internal cable by making a sock out of a shoelace.

Just watched this video. Dude's got adhesive cable guides made by Jagwire on his ASRc. Looks like he's got them directly attached to is frame without anything between the frame and the guide.

+1 on the stick on guides. They work great.
