how much time do they get for transfers? Like, do they have to crank or is it a little more cruisey?
Depends on who you ask.
Some people's cruisey is cranking it for others.

indeed. certainly wasn't much much time for wee mortals for trailside chilling. i ended up with about 15mins at the start of each stage, but only stopped briefly to swap lids [HTML_REMOVED] grab fuel / water after the timed stages prior to jumping back on the bike. wasn't an xc race pace (and did a fair amount of pushing to save the legs), but definitely needed to keep moving with an eye on the time.
