Has anyone seen or tried the new bell super helmet. I am in search of a new helmet and want some opinions on whats out there. after reading reviews the Bell Super looks pretty sweet, also considering the Fox flux
"Enduro" helmet
It's pretty sweet, but not sure if it's worth the cost. There is a cheaper version coming out.
I'm really happy with mine, although it might be hot in the summer due to the amount of coverage. Cost was a little high but not really much different from the higher level Giro offerings. I haven't tried the GoPro mount but its a neat idea, and it'll be even better if I can figure out how to use it to run my headlamp.
Being cheap is OK. Being a clueless sanctimonious condescending douchebag is just Vlad's MO.
My POC trabec has been good. Good deals to be found online sometimes.
ya i saw the new Bell Stoker advertised, definately looks like an alternative. Looks like pretty much the same helmet with a few less features….. who cares about the camera mount ( at least i don't)
Just picked up a bell super (jenson deal; $100). Cradles my cranium fantastically. love the fit of the high coverage rear; feels much more secure [HTML_REMOVED] protective than my previous lids (1st [HTML_REMOVED] 2nd gen fox fluxes). I like the aesthetics too. Solid.
I picked up my Super off my shop for $110. Best feeling helmet I've worn (excluding full faces) to date. I've been a Giro diehard for years but I wanted to try something new and Giro doesn't make a helmet in this category (that had been released when I bought mine). POC's were expensive and Troy Lee's didn't have any colorways that I was a fan of. Super light, fits great (I have a big head) and looks great (I got the matte black). Haven't used the Go Pro mount yet but I might try it out soon. Highly recommend this helmet if you're in the market.
I had one but found that it did not work well with my goggles. It pushed them down into my nose and it was not pleasant. My cheapo fox transition piss-pot works way better with goggles. Also it never really felt secure on my head. Everyones head is different but thats my 2 cents…..
not sure why you had to buy it at Jenson xy9ine… Cove sold me mine for that price. :p
have it…. like it. I don't know it's a helmet not much else to report. Sits on my head well.
Loving mine. The fit is amazing, and the visor is great at keeping wayward branches at bay; it's huge!
Ride, don't slide.
Another vote for the Bell Super. I started in the spring with a Giro Feature but the lining fell apart after a couple months. I picked my Bell up on sale at a shop here in late September. $100 and change. Really like it so far. I also haven't tried the Go Pro mount yet.
I liked the looks of it the moment I forst saw pics of it.
I maybe buy a new helmet next season (my old one is three years old, no crashes but lots of summer riding), but I do not understand why Bell does not offer a helmet with MIPS technology, which makes more than sense imho.
