DX pedals - spindle replaceable?

I bent one of the spindles on my DX pedals last week. Not too bad, still OK for shuttle runs (about 1/10 of my rides), but I'd rather not do too much pedaling on them as my knees historically object to such conditions. Is it possible to buy new spindles, or swap from a different pedal?

Oops! DX flats like this, and I'm assuming they're looseball since they're about 10 years old.

the axles are steel and replaceable/removable. loose ball bearings, correct. you should be able to get a set through any distributor that sells shimano pedals (so, not lambert or norco). here. don't you work in a shop?

I think all Shimano pedals are loose ball type. Little tiny toy mouse ball sized but loose balls none-the-less. I would guess that replacement axles complete with bearings are available.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.
