Will the new Shimano Shimano XT M8100 cluster fit the old HG-style FH body?

Freedom of contract. We sell them guns that kill them; they sell us drugs that kill us.

Think they use a micro drive freehub , is it 11spd or 12spd?

12, I think.

Maybe I ain't asking the right question.

I can just un-screw my XD driver and screw a new 8100 series (microspline?) drive onto my new I9 hub? Same 148 spacing?

Yes if a driver is available for your hub. I think I9 have a micro spline body for some of their hubs.

Maybe it wasn't offered when I ordered my WAO wheelset but if you look now WAO does offer Microspline drivers on their wheelsets.

yeah it might be $$$$$$$$

So, I got XO derailluer w/Garbaruk cage 'n cluster once and a while it rumbles, like the jockey pulley running against big cog except it ain't. Happened again yesterday after I overshifted into the spokes and only went away after I ran it down into smallest cog for a moment then all was groovey?

If were intermittent I'd think stiff link but rumble constant.

I'm the one who did the cage swap and trying to think how I could have possibly bodgered that up but it just wouldn't work at all if I had, right?

I think I should try and find the throw limiter screw.....

This is holding me back from upgrading my old 10s XT drivetrain to the new 12s XT....not a fan of holding this kind of stuff back and I am not getting rid of my CK hubs...so...get moving Shimano!

I actually went backwards from 11sp back to 10sp once Sunrace started making the 11-46 in 10sp. The XT/XTR 11sp stuff worked well but I much prefer the 'vague feel' of 10sp XT/XTR

So you guys running a Garbaruk cassette notice if it's got a chain preference? Sram or Shimano?

I have used both on Garbaruk xd driver 10 - 50T 12 spd. The sram chain seems to shift a wee bit better, but they are such a pain in the ass to purchase I just use shimano chains now.
