I used to ride bikes that were too small for me too. I loved those wee mediums. Then I started doing yoga and my posture got better and I am now unquestionably a large. Sometimes XL.

I remember when there were quick release layback posts but I have no idea why there was such a thing. When was the last time anyone said "I wish my seat angle was slacker!"

I agree - I wish I could find a forward offset adapter for my rockshox reverb for seated climbing.

Don't these only fit a very specific type of frame (like one specific brand)… or did I misinterpret something I read online about these things?

is 9point8 that good? is the technology superior? just asking, i don't know, but it seems to command some premium, but as i'm not an engineer i don't know what makes them so much better than say, Reverb or KS Lev which has been flawless in 4 straight yrs for me. 9point8 is Cdn, big plus for me, Ontarian, minus half a point…

Oops, you're right. I they have a rearward offset, but not forward. wonder if you could run it backwards and get a forward offset.

It uses an expanding cylinder as the brake, so in theory it should be more reliable. Comes in 175 or 200mm. Weight is competitive. The head is pretty trick: you can adjust seat angle with out loosening the seat rails.

If you ran it forward, it might start to bind or put uneven stress on the seals as the force is applied at more of an angle instead of along the post. I'll probably end up trying it on my next bike anyway since most medium frames now have the same reach as a large used to :(

Raceface licensed the 9.8 technology for their line of droppers.
