3 questions about the Jeffsy. how did you get it here? how are those tires treating you? holding air ok? Nobl hub changing your life?

they have a store in Squamish not far from the Walmart and Home Depot

My slash frame finally showed up on thursday. Got out for a short ride in the rain today. Pretty happy with it so far. Feels a lot like my nomad did, but is a bit higher (running on the low setting) and obviously the roll over and grip is better.

Nice looking rig!
What size frame is that? And what are your dimensions; height, inseam length, wingspan.

Why slag free swag?

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

Trends used to last a decade, then a season, now it's 15 minutes. Actually now it's in the negative, as you need to be waiting for the next thing and not buying what's currently out.

And yes 27.5 is totally lame now. You're not like, ugh, riding one are you?? Eww. I can't even.

(I'm riding one too, don't tell anyone).

No, it's more that 29ers in general are closing in on better geometry as of late meaning that they often ride was well as their 27.5 siblings.

With anything I always recommend trying before buying. Bikes fall into that category.

the increased travel more commonly available in the 29" trail bike range now helps a lot as well , couple years back only a couple company's had decent travel 29" bikes , now it,s the other way around .

Seriously though I think that it's healthy sign for our sport that radical ideas, creativity and experimentation are still happening.

Reminds me of surfing in the 70's.

Personally, 29ers don't even click with me. But I love the idea of new and weird and pushing the boundaries, like the bikes in this thread.

They are the psychedelic asymmetrical low rail short boards of MTB. :D

Well I love 'em (once I tried a Tallboy) and agree that the early ones were weird but I'd say that now they're more like the high-volume fish shapes and short boards of today - plenty of stability, easy to ride and the lots of agility if done right.

Bought a 29er hardtail frame close to five years ago. Never rode one up until that point. Didn't need another bike with a Lyric/36 and 2.5 DHF up front. Good thing that I'm currently running a 36 and 2.3 DHR2.

I kinda wanted a new FS bike before I opened this thread, now somehow it's moved up the Maslow's Hierarchy into the NEED category!

how much blood do I have to sell to get a SB 5.5?

…and I wanna so surfing too…

Don't go looking at the SB5.5 thread on mtbr. Unless you want to believe you need an 11-6 or X2 equipped SB5.5

Didn't know what an 11-6 was, then I Googled it. $1200USD rear shock. Yikes.
