Ok so seeing as wen i buy a bike from Cove they'll put my selection of parts on it i made up a rough spec

formula on the front is ok, dont spend the bling on the diabolous cranks, Imo not worth it, just get hozfellers or sumthin. and buy a nice CK for the rear, you wont regret it

i agree with the nice rear hub, maybe a hadley, to save a little cash, but for ultimate pimpness, go for the king. from what ive heard on these boards, saint cranks are generally given a slight edge over diabolus. IMO, they look cooler, and it seems like less people have them. never seen so many pairs of diabolus cranks on one place at one as whistler this year. anyway, everything on that build sounds awsome, but i think it might be on the heavier side of the range. tubeless might help that a little.(i guess thats the reasoning behind the 823s)

instead of the raceface stuff go for the new truvative stuff, the 06 holzefellas look good and are on par with raceface for weight and have a great look and wont ruin ur shoes

Race Face has lifetime warrenty, and they're in Vancouver, so it'll be quicker(er) to warrenty your stuff. Get a WTB seat, a helluva lot comfier. Get Michelin tires (Comp 16 front, Comp 24 rear) And get a Easton and Thompson mix for your cockpit parts.

get a better rear hub man. CK is nice, but tooooo pricey. 108pt Ti bolt hadley…230 bucks and you are set for life!

and why x0 shifters? They are 230 bucks just for the shifters!! I see no benefit to them over the x9 triggers; less you are talking the x0 shorty shiters (grip shifters) in which case…the price is fair on those.

RF Diab crankset…I see no reason to shy away from that if you want it. RF treats their customers extremely well and that is worth quite a bit in my books…

I personally hated the 5050 pedals, but I have strange expectations for pedals…like my foot actually staying on it in fast and bumpy terrain :)

I would get two sets of tires…

1 for wet and 1 for dry. Lucky for you though…maxxis makes HR for both :)

go with saint cranks and possibly chris king headset i have heard bad things abbout the diabolus headset and also better hubs.

Only if you want a headset that will last YOUR riding lifetime without ever having to adjust it. He makes his own bearings in house and the quality is second to none.
