Wondering with how many folks have posted in the hardtails thread what the break down is? I've got my guesses for sure.

They've been an N+1 bike for me since...uh when the hell did I get my first suspension bike...hhmm.
Right now, it's my only MTB. We'll see what the year brings. :)
Hardtail riders are kind of like vegans.We're anouying, and we'll let you know. So there's a bit of unequal representation.
Was at hardtail, DH bike and road bike for a few years.
More KM on my hardtail than my FS bike this past year.
Hardtail is my primary, FS is the N+1 :)
I was going to transition my Scout (see what I did there?) into a Wideangle w/boutique wheels but the wheel size debate in that other thread has me paralyze with indecision. thanksarot.........

If you're over 5'2" there is no wheel size debate.

Done and done. Not really though.
In the last couple of years (maybe 4?), everything about 29" wheels has got pretty dialled. If you're hanging on to something for legacy reasons, that's one thing, but if you're buying a new bike - a hardtail no less - pick the size that works for you not against you.
People buying hardtails largely (not everyone) fall into two camps IMO:
1: Folks who want a nice hardtail for (mostly) mellow trail fun times
2: Folks who are building up a frame from all the detritus we accumulate as bikers.
1: Well, they're probably going to buy a 29r - look at all the bikes Chromag has in that category. Including their newest effort. Sales tell the story.
2: They're maybe going to end up on a 27.5 - and there's only the Samurai left in the lineup that takes that wheelseize for the BC frames, but there ARE two taiwanese frames.
What do you reckon?

What if you have three hardtails and one FS?
As for the wheelsize, I have one of each and 27.5 rules (and I'm 6'2). It manuals better. Despite having a steeper headtube, it has a shorter wheelbase and you can feel it.
