Better place my brake pad order soon.
Do you buy from CRC?

And so June 1 marks the end of me buying Shimano products.
In my experience Jenson has been as cheap or cheaper than across the pond for quite sometime now. No need to switch!

A pair of complete Saint brakes is $370 USD from Jensen whereas the same pair from Bike-Components.de is $350 CAD...

An 11 speed XTR rear derailleur is $201 CDN from Jenson, whereas the same mech from Bike-Components.de is $212 CDN. Not everything will be better I agree, but they arent as far off on most things as you would think.
That makes no sense. You'd think if Saint stuff was 70% more expensive all their other lines would too.
This industry is a mess.
The only thing that will cure t is even more SKUs.
Hmmm fack, sucks to see, hopefully cheap tires from Germany continue to be a thing. Debating grabbing some Saints or Zees from b-d this week now.
BUY NOW OR FOREVER BE PRICED OUT OF THE MARKET!!!1!1!1!1!!1!1!

Oops, could've saved $70ish on my XT 4-piston brakes from China/HK sellers it seems. Good to know for the future.
Funny enough I was just able to get a bunch of Fox 36 volume spacers from a UK bike shop on eBay cheaper/faster than dealing with Dunbar/Fox Canada.
Even if Dunbar has something in stock I’ve been able to get a part online faster. If it’s not on the shop floor, it seems there’s a ~50% they can locate it for you.
I now prefer to just wait until I’m in whistler, go to Evolution, and bring enough stuff to install in the parking lot if I can’t order something to Canada.
That's been my experience with Dunbar in the past ("ordering" it from LTP and then it never showing up, never calling me to tell me that, or it does show up a month later but never calling me to tell me it has arrived) but they have a new CMS/POS system and were actually able to get me an e13 part from LTP in Ontario in a week and called me when it showed up -- faster/cheaper than it would've been to order online so props to them on that. I do like all the support they give for DH racing and the fact they stock DH bikes in the store so I try to buy random stuff from them when I need it, gloves, sealant etc.
The Fox 36 spacer issue is actually Fox Canada, they emailed me back to say it's at least a month before another order comes in so it will be very hard to find them locally.

GST/PST/HST all on imported new bike frame? Or should I visit the man?
Freedom of contract. We sell them guns that kill them; they sell us drugs that kill us.
