Anyone have recent orders from zee Germans, how long did they take? Just ordered a bunch of crap from b-d.de and hoping it's here by the 15th... my 2018 orders were around 10-12 calendar days hopefully that hasn't changed.

Did you get your order yet?  It been nearly 3 weeks for me and no more tracking information available saying its in the Canada Post system yet.  DHL claims on their website that there is still a backup on the Canadian end due to the strike before Christmas.  Anyone else had recent experiences with DHL post packages from Germany recently?

Yes I ordered something for my wife for Christmas from Germany, DHL express, normally takes 3 business days.

Ordered is Dec 7th. It arrive January 12th. Almost 5 weeks. The Christmas rush/Canada Post strike jacked everything up real bad. That's the first time I have not have a DHL package arrive super fast.

It's been slow for me too. I had a gift voucher from b-c.de and ordered on Jan 13th, they shipped on the 14th and it only showed up as arrived in Ville St-Laurent/Montreal on CP tracking on the 28th. Just cleared customs this morning so should arrive this week. For some reason there seems to be a slow route via Montreal (also always goes to customs there) and a fast direct route via Richmond (never goes to customs).

Thanks for the replies!  My experience has been the same with Richmond versus Montreal Canada Post international package processing times; I had a package from the US arrive via post in less than 6 days last week (1 day processing at Richmond) but it appears my other package from Germany has been sitting in Montreal for a week and a half at least.  Annoyingly, they don't scan it as soon as it arrives, they only scan it when they finally process it to go to Canada Customs so you can't tell for sure if the delay is at the Canada Post end or in the shipping time from Germany.

Hmm guess I'll be waiting a while. Package left Germany via DHL (cheap option) on Jan 30 but hasn't scanned into Canada Post yet. I thought maybe they used ocean freight but in the past I've had stuff from b-d.de show up in 10 calendar days which is too fast for ocean + customs + air from Montreal.

Yeah it's still air, not sure how that works as I've seen the same. At any rate don't panic if it seems to not be updating, it's a gong show for some reason still.

Funny, just after I posted on this forum, it finally popped up in Quebec when I tracked it.  Ordered Jan. 15, shipped / left Germany Jan. 16,  finally scanned in Quebec yesterday, Feb. 4.  Supposed to be here in Vancouver by the end of the week.  Way longer than the last couple times.

I'm guessing I'll end up paying the handling fee and taxes since I lucked out on my last two shipments from Germany.

Mine showed up there as well but much quicker.. Ordered/mailed in Germany on 1/29, landed and forwarded to customs in Montreal on 2/5... ETA Vancouver 2/7 through 2/19. Looks like they are caught up on the strike/Christmas backlog.

Update for b-d.de: Order placed Jan 30 via cheapest DHL/Canada Post. Arrived Feb 11 with $9.95 fee + GST on bike parts.

Ordered tires ($50 Minion DHR!) from CRC on April 3 with no tracking option.  They shipped from Spain on the 4th, arrived in Mississauga on the 8th, released to Canada Post on the 9th, delivered this morning, the 11th.  No processing fee, no tax.  Fantastic!

And so June 1 marks the end of me buying Shimano products.

You had to wonder how long they could have kept the floodgates open once SRAM cracked down.
