I think that SRAM doesnt allow product to be sold outside of the country (or maybe outside of Europe?). If you change your settings on the CRC page to the UK, you will see that all the SRAM goodies show up. I think the same applies to sites like Bikediscount and Wiggle.  Its a fairly new development in the last 6mo - 1yr I think.  Im not sure on that time frame as I am usually ordering Shimano components from CRC.

SRAM has finally caved and is trying to stop it.

Be interesting to see what Shimano does.

So this means if you live in Canada or the US you have to buy Sram from a north american store?

There are a few stores that will still sell SRAM to Canada/US from Europe, but the list is shrinking.  Yes that means getting it locally or from the US.

Wow. Hope Shimano doesn't try to get tough.

This could increase the value of some SRAM take-offs if my YT ever gets here...

At a certain point I'll just get a catalog road bikes and a MX bike.

I figure that point is only a few years off. The cycling industry is behind the ski/snowboard industry where we arent able to order certain companies out of the USA into Canada.

Nope.  It means you buy Shimano.

Good ol' JM ignored my emails for weeks and then dropped the, "Yeah so we just found out..." a few days before I was to pick it up.

Huh?

Were you planning on buying the YT from YT NA or elsewhere?

Ordered about $500 of parts and apparel from them on Apr 3rd.  Shipped out Apr 4th, delivered in Vancouver Apr 8th.  I always choose the Canada Post option.  I got charged $9.95 handling and another ~$22 in taxes (which is lower than what it should have been).  Fast and cheap, no complaints at all here.

I'm at 18 working days now, and nothing has showed up for me. Ordered about $200 worth of Shimano drive train parts. My first order with CRC as well, and it's taking wayyyy longer than I expected. Hopefully better luck on some future orders, or better yet, I hope this order even shows up!

Sent you a PM but same situation here with YT. Not impressed at all but kind of stuck...

Nope.  It means you buy Shimano.

That would be the most logical approach. I have always used Shimano stuff, don't know why. Guess it kinda stuck.

Nah, Shimano's the spawn of Lucifer. Always has been, always will be. Go Suntour MicroDrive!
