$406 for a complete 105 group, shipped, from Ribble. Their MTB groups are very well priced too, $426 complete SLX with brakes.

Smokin' deal.

I guess you weren't all that prudent, as it looks like you chose the more expensive shipping option? If you read back in the thread, you will see that you need to pick the first shipping option in order to get Canada Post and avoid DHL fees.
Also, did you place the order on GBP (British pounds)? With the recent dip in the pound, you will get a better price ordering in pounds and getting the conversion rate from Paypal or you CC company.

Prudence was practised - first of all the shipping (DHL) was free, and second of all, with the pending postal strike, I decided brokerage/handling fees was well worth actually GETTING my stuff rather than having it suspended in postal purgatory.

CRC Order shipped with free shipping/Canada Post left on June 28 and arrived July 11 so 14 calendar days or 9 business days ignoring stat holidays. Paid GST only plus $9.95 handling fee on $170 of misc parts (4x brake pads, grips, lube etc).

Ordered $250 worth of new riding gear and then opted for the free Canada Post option as I totally forgot about the looming lock out. Shipping was crazy fast. In my hands in 6 business days and didn't pay a cent in tax. Win. Love me some CRC.

My order left June 23 and arrived yesterday. 19 days is a bit long, but I did save a bunch of cash. Same deal though, free postal delivery because I did not need the parts immediately.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

Thanks man. I've had good luck with avoiding tax/duty from CRC. The pending lock out definitely sped things up. Once the package landed in Ontario I had it 2 days later. Just got it Monday of this week. Lucky for sure. Had the lock out happened I would have been f'd.

I'd say roll the dice and see what happens.

You all can avoid the DHL brokerage fee by self declaring the package at CBSA, it would involve you getting down to the DHL office and CBSA at the airport island though.

Just remember, DHL International does not equal DHL Germany to Canada.

New record for me. Five calendar days to get a bike-discount order here. Monday, arrived today.

I'm thinking Canada Customs is letting stuff fly through in anticipation of the strike.

I've placed so far 4 orders.

1st order, slightly above $100.00, no extra fees,
2nd order was the same as 1st.
3rd order of $113.xx was dinged $25.xx by canada post/cbsa.
4th order is of $17x.xx and I'm waiting for delivery.

Well this is slightly embarrassing but to those who have used bike-discount.de, did you ever have any trouble with entering your shipping address? The site won't let me proceed past that, and there aren't any indicators as to what I'm not filling out correctly….

Did you select BC from the province drop Down? It seems to clear it sometimes and won't let you through.

Well that was weird. Just tried again and it went through with no issues. Last time they asked for my email address which they didn't this time. Odd but w/e
