How much was duty, and how much was GST?
It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of dodging our responsibilities.

How much was duty, and how much was GST?
Also, what items did you buy? Some things are subject to duty, others are not.
it was just over $20 each in duty and GST , the parts where a Tioga saddle , and a Shimano 11spd derailleur and a 11/40 cog set , was $235 cdn roughly , plus $54

Claim the duty back. Bicycle parts have no duty on them. Sometime people throw a pair of shoes or something that is dutiable in the order, and that usually is what gets dinged.
Not sure if this was covered, as I didn't have time to read 40 pages. You can broker items yourself brought in by DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc. Just do some research, and all you'll pay is GST on the essential bike parts. Does it involve some running around? Sure, but on $500 of bike parts, that's only $25 gst. You're going to pay that anyway, so figure out if the brokerage fee is worth your time.

Stoked on this order.
Just put an order in with Jensonusa, should be interesting.
A coworker ordered from Jenson last month and his stuff spent a week going all the way to the east coast of the US before getting turned around and finally making it to Vancouver another 4 or 5 days later.
Be careful with Jensen their data base hold information forever . Just in the process of them clearing up a issue with a credit card . Long story short they held my old employer CC info on a dormant account for over 3yrs .
