Do you buy from CRC?

I've had a few orders take up to a month, always held up by customs. One order never arrived though, and I filled out a simple form and they shipped another and received it within a week. You can consult their website for details on the process and wait times before filing a report.

At the moment CRC has some great deals on TLD 2016 D3 composite helmets.

Since I need a new fullface, I ordered one for 225 €. That is a killer price in Europe.

Customs are being a bitch still.

7 days my order of tires and a pair of pedals have been sitting in some bloody corner.  This is with b-d.de.

Why does it take that long? It is not that there is a greedy leprechaun sitting in a hangar full of parcels and whatnot all by himself.

Good question.  I've found it takes anywhere from three minutes to three weeks for them to look at stuff.

Had an order hang out with CBSA for over two weeks. Contacted CS which sent out a twin order. Both the felivery notices showed up on the same date. Original subject to taxes, duties and handling. The duplicate free of charge.

Ordered ~$250 of shorts/jerseys and misc. tools from CRC on March 3rd with the free untracked shipping (Parcelforce/Canada Post). For some reason I was given a shipping number anyway. Package arrived March 9th subject to GST and standard $9.95 processing charge. Impressively fast.

About to order a bunch of stuff from b-d.de. Will see how that goes...

Ordered drivetrain/brakes/misc parts from B-D.de on March 16 with the default 25 Euro shipping option (DHL/Canada Post). Shipped March 17. Delivered March 24. 5% GST plus $10 handling fee.

Definitely the fastest I've received an order from zee Germans.

Purchased $19.95 of tiny parts from CRC & went for the $9 postage, no tracking via Royal Mail/Canada Post. 3 weeks to the day from shipped & patiently waiting.... anyone else try this option?

Two orders like that lately (untracked). First was 3 wks to the day. Second, a bit more than 4.

I remember when the free shipping took less than 2.

Ordered about $500 of parts and apparel from them on Apr 3rd.  Shipped out Apr 4th, delivered in Vancouver Apr 8th.  I always choose the Canada Post option.  I got charged $9.95 handling and another ~$22 in taxes (which is lower than what it should have been).  Fast and cheap, no complaints at all here.

Canada post option seems to be a way around the bogus fees they charge thru DHL or whoever they use.

Yep. With CRC, always choose the untracked free Parcelforce/Canada Post option. With bike-discount.de, choose the cheapest (20 EUR I believe) DHL/Canada Post option. You should only pay $9.95 handling fee, regardless of package size/value, plus applicable GST.
