I think it would be like assembling the definitive cantilever brake four months before V-brakes came out.

By the time it was ready to go better options would be legion and no one would give a sh*t.

that a proper 29'er dh fork pops up for 2017 would surprise me not. writing is on the wall, so to speak.

10 years ago, alex morgan, a backyard carbon savant of sorts, was dabbling with a 29'er dh bike. tires were a serious limiting factor at the time:

If I remember correctly, he tried to qualify for the MSA World Cup with that bike.

Out of all places, he certainly chose a brutal place to test that bike with sub-par tires. Total Flat-o-rama :lol:

they use a 27.5 crown with a 2.35 x 29 tire

SC Hightower I assume? Minnaar is so tall that it isn't obvious on first glance that those are 29er wheels. I thought it was a Nomad initially.

Also running some type of raw aluminum upper linkage as seen in the pickup truck box.

Word on the street is that SC is going to offer a linkage option to boost travel to 150mm.
