Instead of replacing the deore freehub body with another one of the same, put on an XT freehub body, they are somewhat more durable and should last quite a bit longer.

I had a deore hub,

Blew the freehub in a month.

Replaced withan XT that blew in 2 months.

I went through 4 before replacing the hub with a DT Swiss Hugi Freeride.

It has been awsome and very reliable, no problems. Not cheep though.

For inepensive stick with shimano.

Formula is the way to go. had it for over a year with no problems at all and i even got it used.

Being an agoraphobic adrenaline junkie would be pretty convenient, because you could get your rush from just going to the store to get some milk instead of having to jump off a mountain or out of an airplane.

mostly happens with guys running cheap hubs on fulls i would think. chain expansion and all.. reefs on the freehub. that'd be my guess.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

I was running the Deore hub on a 2002 Rocky Switch. Doing a lot of tech riding, pedal kicks, drops, ect. Nothing to large though.

By the way all shimano hubs are loose bearing
