So has anyone here ever got their helmets custom painted before? What's the durability compared to the stock paint job?
I'm trying to find someone to do one of my Troy lee helmets for me. I've called randoms off websites ect but I'm hoping someone here could recommend a good painter guy.
Thanks yall
I wouldn't bother, for what you will pay (or should pay) for decent work… it's a safety device, not a fashion statement.
I've had several painted helmets and they all flake/scrape up over a short period of time, you'd be surprised how much the outer shell of your lid flexes day to day.
Most of all, I had noticed when I had mine, that I tend to take my helmet off and kind of drop it to the ground/table (not super hard) but hard enough to scrape paint sometimes.
