CRC - Wheel Build Quality?

In the market for a new set of wheels.

Considering a 'custom' set of Mavic 729's on Hope Pro 2's from Chain Reaction. What have your experiences been with wheels built by CRC? Any do's or don'ts?

Also considering a set of DT Swiss FR2050's. Anybody have any experience on these? I like the looks of these wheels but after my experience with their 5.1 rims, I am not sure I want to go down the DT Swiss route again (at least rim wise - no problems with the 240 hubs).

Purchased two sets from CRC… both have been rock solid, and now passed on to new owners.

823's on pro 2 evo with prolocks. Solid build, but took forever to arrive, i had to chase them over the phone 3 times.

I bought a set of 823s on Hope Pro IIs. I haven't even tightened spokes in the 2 years I've had them; racing, Whistler and all.

I also bought a set of 721s on Hope Pro IIs and I just had to tighten spokes on the rear wheel this morning; 2 years after purchase.

So, yah, pretty good so far (knock on wood!!!!)

1. Note that (in theory at least) you don't pay duty on hubs, rims and spokes but you do pay duty on wheels.

2. [HTML_REMOVED]obligatory "support your LBS" comment[HTML_REMOVED].

you might be surprised how competitive some of the LBS are with CRC pricing on custom wheel builds….

Greatly enjoy my flows/hope 2 front and rear. Might sell or trade for a 29er build tho.

Wrong. Always.

i've tried sticking it in her butt and peeing, she feels that is more a gift for me than her.
