I ordered from CRC July 17 and received August 11. Like someone else said, I had no expectations of a speedy delivery.
CRC shipping times
I ordered a water bottle cage for my road bike from Amazon Marketplace via some vendor TradeInn in the Netherlands. Ordered May 8, never showed up after 2 months so I got a refund, and it just showed up August 12th. Crazy slow via PostNL/Canada Post.
Ordered some items from You-Rope this am. Will see when they arrive.
I just ordered some rotors and socks from CRC last week. Made sure it just got to the threshold for free Can post service. They wanted 50$ for duty paid express - the last time I used that it took 2 weeks almost. The last time I went with their non-duty paid, non-can post service I paid more in duties than express duty paid would have cost.
This package was free shipping via canada post and it arrived in one week with no duties - WTF....?
I always factor in and assume I'll be charged tax, $10 Can post brokerage fee, and possible duty if applicable, to all online orders.
If it arrives with nothing due, that just found beer money

I usually order from Jenson where all charges are paid up front, but when I do order from CRC or anyone else international I have the same expectations as you. It is a total crap shoot. I've had $400+ worth of carbon rims ordered from China just show up via Canada Post with no tax/duty owing. High value and a big box. That surprised me, but I don't go into an international order expecting to avoid the normal customs/tax costs.
