Ha, I thought something wasn't right :D Great bike though, and if I ever have enough disposable money I'll get another one for shits and giggles:

I think the Specialized Toupe saddle got the bike into the sub 55lb range ha….

Both frames are medium, but have an inch less top tube than our medium SC Bullits.

I also had one back in the day. It was a slug on the long uphills but with a 36 tooth chain ring and 24" rear wheel the thing was pretty good for the techy chute accents.

I'm the best at being modest !

haha; nice! what's the plan? should do a proper resto (ie, powdercoat [HTML_REMOVED] decals) on those cranks regardless.

The front rim is pretty worn out and the fork is somewhat lacking in sealing or rebound so for the short term at least I'll stick on a black Z2 and and XTR / Araya RM395 Team wheel up front as I'd like to ride this a bit rather than just hang it from the ceiling (I'm saying that now…..!).

I pulled the crank and BB out during lunch and all is good there. Nothing broken or seized which is a relief. I'll get the cranks done when I have some cash for such frivolities. Other than that I'll probably keep it pretty well how it is I think. Lovely patina ;)

Had that frame back in the late 90's was set up quite different. I had Marz double crown fork and a coil spring rear shock. I ended up breaking the frame. I am friends with the Brodie sales rep at the time. He said he would look into what he could do for me. Never heard back. I wish I would have kept it.

My single speed Masi is fun, but sometimes I need gears so I got this guy.
