I've had this DeKerf for the last few years. It's too small for me, my wife doesn't like mountain bikin' and it's totally shit-kicked but I haven't been able to bear parting with it as I love the craftmanship and history of the thing (it's #274 or something).

It's gotta get out of my shed though, I have no room for useless stuff in my life/storage. Sigh…

With my 'modern' having it's shocked SW'ed, I went for a rip around Squamish yesterday on my old Vertex, now fully rigid again. Half Nelson down to the river, up to the top of PH Plunge but took the new trail instead. Then planned to ride Somewhere Out There but must have gone the wrong way and ended up on a moto trail. Cut across to an MTB trail and ended up by the narrow bridge by the uni. I didn't put a foot down once…..on any of the flat fireroad bits :D

Who remembers the Sugoi padded arm and leg warmers? Was the leg version the first pedalable armour?

'95(I'm thinkin') Marin Bear Country

Bear Valley or Pallisades Trail?. I have the 1995 Bear Valley SE, which had some kind of slightly different chrome coloured Shimano components. BB is too low for the trails, but with some slicks the bike is good for commuting.

My Marin after some mods to make it more ridable (rideable?). I since put some slicks on it and use it for cruising around the block. The shot is from 2 months ago, no snow now.

Beauty- I had the Team Marin with the same paint scheme, on dx/xt with prestige tubing. Rode it in the first Mt Prevost Mountain Madness back in 91 or so. Solid bike, fantastic colours. Went awesome with my Swatch and my Razor Blades.
