i've got something like that in the works: pepto pink lugged norco sasquatch. i've been thinking of setting it up for off road use or building up some dyno/3speed wheels, but it will probably just end up as a bar bike. just need some period correct wide bars…

I put my 2002 bullit in the enduro/am thread. Nobody blinked. I think there is no place for them.

I should clarify that it came into the shop I work in for repairs. Basically if you posted this bike in the "2002 Freeride/Huck-to-Flat" thread it has literally everything you could ever dream of.

46.8 lbs btw, front end is retardedly heavy, feels like you would nose in off anything, but you'd probably ride it out no issues.

Countering that nosing feeling was a super short reach and a pair of Roach shorts buzzing your 24" rear tire.

still my fav fork ever, you felt like you could crush anything that was in front of - roots, rocks, small children, large children buses, you name it. i rolled the second rock drop on groovula one day with one of those forks - handled it like a boss.

the only thing better in that pic would be if it was a super 8 with an avy rear shock.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

I've finally found a bike that matches my glitter saddle:

Rocking a metal cock for a stem, 52t big ring for hot Cypress laps and double U brakes. The local Hipsters don't know what's hit them.

Panaracer still makes the Smoke and Dart, btw. ;)

Yep. I do have a set of Racing Porcs in my storage space, but this bike is now shod with a fine set of worn semi-slicks that I dragged out of the recycling bin today.

Nice Ross. It comes close to a DQ for the nobbynic on the front, but the cock-stem and the sweet grips carry it to the win.

As for the Bullet, it's kind of on the bubble.I tend to think somewhere around 20 (give take) is the vintage line. Only 12 years old, not really vintage unless you're one of those craiglist hawkers that claims used=vintage. I think a bike has to go through the outdated and out of style phase, to needs an upgrade, to looking a bit silly, and through to totally obsolete before it can rise again to the glory of vintage. No shortcuts. That Bullet is a first ballot entry though, just give it a few years.
