Why do people pay over 50 bucks for a bike like this. All these 'vintage' apollos, fioris, ccm, etc were found in garages not used, bought for 30-60 bucks, and flipped after oiling the chain for 200. :fruit:
I don't get it.
Keep looking Rainmaker, a better bike is out there for way less.
Forged dropouts and aluminum rims are absolute minimum indicators of a quality "vintage" bike.
Indeed. I draw the line @ rims without eyelets. Nine time out of ten you can swap 'shitty' in for 'vintage' and be a lot more accurate. You can still find some gems if you check often though. Some people just like to pass on a nice ride that's not getting used/loved.
craigslist ride
gears are preferable to none imo.
Y'all know that for like $650 you can go buy a Sirrus or something, hey?

I would try to add a cassette r wheel to that list. unless you like bending axles.

Yes, and along with that, dual pivot brake calipers. Those are more an indicator of age than quality, though. Around the late '80s there was a crossover period where 7-speed became popular but the mid-range bikes didn't get dual pivot calipers. The above Bianchi is such an example.
