ah I think you're right, that looks like a Palmer era FSR with the hole, maybe…98, or 99 at the earliest, maybe a 2000 like you said?

I think the super monster came out in 03 but I'm probably mistaken again, seems like yesterday/seems like a hundred years ago at this point!

It sure feels like an entire lifetime ago!

Found these in a closet as I'm moving as well as a bunch of Decline, Bike, MBAction and Mountain Bike Magazines all circa 2000-2003.

Does anyone know who would want these ancient beauties? I'm trying to get them to a proper home and not the dump or the recycling bin.

vhs? i still have a machine - i'll take em.

i remeber a thanksgiving weekend bike park wrap-up in whistler one year and someone had brought a bunch of vids (KenN i think) and one of them was big rocks hard knocks. one of the girls thought he'd brought a porno cause they read big cocks hard cocks.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

One of my friends was in Superheroes. If you could part with it and send it to me I'll cover shipping. I'd like to surprise him with it.

Watched a few old Star Wars VHS tapes over the Christmas holidays, more than half of them are failing. The movie plays very dark now, it is possible that the same thing is happening to the mtn bike videos, I haven't checked mine yet.

Video tapes are supposed to be somewhat refrigerated with zero humidity for longer life.
When I worked at CBC downtown the tape library was in a sealed room, I think it was about 12 degrees in there.
Best thing to do it is transfer to DVD- or vid file. They eventually disintegrate.

Costly and a pain in the ass? Probably

My old VHS (and music cassettes!) are stored in the basement, so around 15C, but my guess is probably about 50% humidity.
Likely the quality of magnetic tape used for VHS tapes was low.

This thread once again reminded me to try and find a copy of Superheros as last time I looked I couldn't find one to buy, and nothing on Youtube. Someone has finally uploaded it:

Makes me want my old Super 8 and first gen Monster Ts back :)

I think the addition of the Ti railed Specialized Toupe saddle got the bike under 55lb LOL etc….

I've got all of the old superheros movies kicking around. I loved Brian Os bike so much, yellow super 8 with the yellow Maguras. I still watch the movies and love that bike.
