Cracked fork help

hey, i have a 2001 junior t, but i cracked the M arch. i was wondering i could switch the lowers with my 2001 z5. the both are the same length. would this work? if so, how do i take off the lowers?

2001 Jr t's are 6 inch, your Z5 is 5 inches. I don't think it will work.
You might be able to swap the M-arch, though?

the z5 was for a 5 inch, junior t was for a 6 inch. both are reg dropouts

GAZZ, how do i swith the M arch? are there screws or smthg to take it off or can this only b done by marzocchi? i dont think they will warantee this because this fork has been passed on.

I suspect that you can do it yourself, but others will have to chime in - I'm no expert on replacing the M-arch. Closest I came to replacing one is when I mistakenly removed the brake bosses on my first M-arch fork and had to re-seat it.

These days, just getting your hands on a replacement M-arch is the biggest challenge.

check the bottom of your lowers…

i think you'll find the castings are spaced different in terms of depth…

i know my 4" Z3 was difffernt from my 5"Z1…..

hope that helps…

i would just get a shop to cause after you swap the arch the fork will need to basicly be rebuilt…but a new arch is only $200 so it isnt that bad….

its not that bad just do it through norco….they are really fast on it and my buddy has his replaced they tossed new seals on too:)

Why not see if you can just swap the arch?

Going through Norco for a fix might take a long time, as they're having problems sourcing arches.
