Cinch SH12 rings - flippable?

I’m building up a super boost bike and The SH12 ring profile doesn’t look flippable like other cinch rings.

That just leaves spindle length to achieve spacing, which isn’t ideal.

Does any one have any direct experience with cinch running SH12 rings for superboost?

You could try just using boost like on the We Are One bike. I’ve run non boost on a boost bike and it worked fine. It gives you a better chain line with the gears you use the most.

Totally agree, but not enough clearance at the chainstay on this frame.

I looked at the spare XT12 34 tooth I have. It looks like the teeth are symmetrical and the spline could probably be mounted backwards but the outer side has a toothed engagement for the lock ring so I imagine that the lock ring would not engage  properly. Plus there is a very thin anti creak plastic spacer on the inside. I think all the other crank manufacturers use a directional mount too. Maybe Raceface can be put on either direction? NSB seem to make SH12 rings for non Shimano cranks.

A key feature of Cinch rings is they can be flipped to alter chain line. The Shimano 12s NW tooth pattern looks ever so slightly hooker forward so I imagine it doesn't flip I could run a different ring and chain, but would prefer not to. I'll run a longer spindle which isn't a terrible thing asides from cost.

You might be able to get a cinch chainring with 0mm offset and keep your standard cranks. I'd check 3rd party ring makers like Blackspire, NSB, etc
