Cheap light thin flat pedals?

I have some 'NRG' Hippy Killers that are now in a bit of a sorry state (or called a multitude of other names with differing mark-ups….). I don't mind replacing them with the same, but was wondering if there are similar options out there with fairly undesirable names (hence at a realistic price) that can be bought locally, before I just buy one a of whole load of pedals from CRC for around $50-60? Last time I was in an LBS it seemed hard to buy a set of sealed pedals for much under $100.

^Those are the same. Also sold by Deity marketed as the "Compound" pedal.
The plastic pedals work great for all mountain and freeride, for pure DH though they didn't have quite enough grip.

I upgrade to the "Skyskrapers" and they've been deadly. Tons of grip, light, SUPER low profile. They come with 2 lengths of pins. Right away I went with the shorter ones and even those poked a nasty little hole in my shin on a crash.
You can at least replace the pins from either side which is really nice after they've been through some riding.

I have/had the metal version of those pedals and they held onto pins as well as a block of cheese would.

kona wah wah's? i think they tick all of your boxes, and retail for ~100$

Shimano Saint pedals are really cheap for the quality. They aren't the thinnest, but they have a really concave design that makes them super grippy.

If the factory pins don't provide enough traction a trip to the local hardware store can improve the traction at the expense of shins if one is unlucky. Cost me ~5$ to add new hardware.

I've got a set of these on my Ollie. I think I picked them up for $50 and have been pretty happy with them. Haven't has any problem with losing pins.

I've also got a set. Durability of the pedal body has been excellent, but I have been losing pins.

For the price, they are hard to beat IMO.

Tank you peeps. It's a tough call between getting another set of NR/ty pedals or the Saints. Saints are heavier but look classy and would match my bike pretty well :rolleyes:

Those Saint pedals were pretty okay when I used them, same with the Wellgo B1s or whatever they were. Hippy Killers need a few more pins per side to be awesome.
