Saw this over at Pinkbike and noticed that Greg's Gamut guide no longer has just an open roller on the bottom. Oh and atta boy Apeshape, I see Greg is still lovin the "One Life" design.
changes to the Gamut?
looks like they may have gone just to a slider type lower, a la Straitline.
Man, is that ever a nice V10

They don't have to pay for them, so they don't mind that they have to replace them after every run.

pretty sure these have better durability / longevity than the lightweight aluminum rims pros are using these days.

I'm pretty sure i heard in an audio feed that the Syndicate mechanics were replacing them after every run. But yeah, World Cup /= durable.

I was talking to the guys in Whistler who were running the CF V10's and these wheels. They had nothing but great things to say about them. They're strong and flexible enough to take a ton of abuse, and light enough to really get moving. I didn't hear of a single failure during that time. Granted, I'm not inside line or anything, but still paid attention because I love the bike.
It's the price that will scare people away from these. I have a hard time justifying Deemax, let alone wheels at twice that price point.
I like the idea of loosing the roller. Mine alway comes loose and it's the only damn bolt on my bike that is not metric…

i replaced mine w/ an m8 titanium bolt w/ aluminum nylock nut. Lighter, and it's never come loose in 4 years.
^^ dammit, now I have to go spend $25 on a new bolt? ;)
