Keep digging. Sure the F/R ratio is better on a small frame but hey, if the fastest guy in the world needs a longer rear centre who are we to argue….

I've just checked and the new GT Fury has 17 inch chainstays which aren't particularly long. Who are you talking about? ;)

Short chainstays are the least of that shitboxes problems ;)

Did I miss something? When did the JCL/Specialized divorce go down?

I rode some other bikes! I really opened my mind :)

I still think they probably make the best bikes all things considered as long as you get one (of the two) without the kids bike chainstays. Problem is it's become an essential marketing point to engineer the shortest rear centre on any bike they make regardless of front centre, size, etc.

With the current trend of long travel slack 29ers, some companies are going to need to invest in suspension redesigns. That Intense Carbine on the front page is an example, 17.75 stays plus a 67 degree HA gives a 1193mm wheelbase, which is really long. Are you sure you guys want this bike in an XL? ;)

Quote that made me lol on ridemonkey, discussing quali results at Vallnord

Brendog [HTML_REMOVED] Blenki in the top 10, Hart [HTML_REMOVED] Peat at 12 [HTML_REMOVED] 14 I believe. Stevie somewhere in the 20's, Gwin was apparently freeriding. EDIT -CG did qualify afterall!!

Maybe he should jump ship again and ride a Commencal;) Changing CS lengths still didn't help him in the finals either.

Or jump back to Trek…. he was light years ahead of his current pace on the Session.

^^ yeah not making the Demo look too good. Especially with Hill doing well on the NP. And Mcdonald doing well on the Trek.

To be fair he improved (it could hardly get worse!) but his main problem is he's never had a team mate as fast as Brosnan and everyone else has up'd their game from last year. Can you imagine what is going on in his head!
