^^ if youre not first youre last, shake… n bake!

I'm fairly particular about my tire pressure but I still do it by hand feel. No idea what the numbers would actually be.

Funny how these threads go sideways. :)
Does using a gauge mean I don't experiment? Did I say I ignore how my bike rides because I have a gauge?

I like the tire gauge because I can pump a tire up to a certain number, and I know the bike will ride as expected. Figuring out what that number is: yes that requires experimentation and varies with the terrain [HTML_REMOVED] weather. A digital guage just takes the guesswork out of recreating what feels "right".

I don't use a floor pump. I have an air compressor… with a gauge! Push a button and release at 28psi. Done.

I'd like to see some videos peeps accurately guessing their tire pressure - like to within 3psi (which is a lot). I have yet to see anyone whose "feel" is that accurate.

I adjust my pressue on the trail, based entirely on feel and the conditions I'm riding, I don't need a gauge to tell me if I'm right or wrong.

Yelp, my LB rims are in Vancouver. I'd buy some Enve decals for them if they just weren't so darn expensive

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

So it appears I can't go wrong with either one…nice. Not very often does it work out like that. I guess I'll buy the one I can get a better price on. Thanks!

Likely he believes most carbon rim failure is due to under-inflated tires.

FYI since I picked up a digital pressure gauge, road bike flats have decreased 100%. Also, on the tubeless mtn bike I notice pressure drops of ~10psi if I don't ride often.

Can you link to which pressure gauge you bought?

LB rims are offered in different weaves (3k, 12k, UD) - what are the reasons for each?

another vote for the LB rims. over a year on my HT 29er with me at 225lbs. have run as narrow as 1.9's and still hitting smallish jumps to flat. i haven't given them a good all mountain work out since they are on the race bike, but have been very happy.

LB:
"For 3k/12k/UD, it is the outer carbon fiber layer to make the carbon fiber with different outlook.
It is only the outer layer different and all the inside carbon fiber are the same. So, the strength [HTML_REMOVED] weight is almost the same. UD [HTML_REMOVED] matte are more popular."

Fashion. The outer layer is cosmetic. It won't make any practical difference on how the rim performs.

^Yup.
I'd go with the DH or HD layup at your size regardless of which rim you go with.
