Anyone have a product they use to get the permastench out of their tech/mtb wear? Seems fine after its washed, a few mins of exercise and the stench returns.... Tried a couple different products but no dice.

I thought this was going to be about something else, disappointed I am.

Apparently powdered detergent works better for synthetics than liquid. Try Borax too.

The Bends album is for sure in my top 10 best of all time. Don't think they are touring anytime soon.

if you can soak it in isopropyl alcohol in a ziplock, that took the stink out of the worst of my pads and gloves. Freezer time will also kill the bacteria followed by washing.

Freezing doesn't kill bacteria. It just slows down their metabolic processes so nothing more will happen during the time in the freezer.

Used to do that with my hockey gear, didn't make any difference. Think I may try the process in the vid Shoreboy posted.

It's definitely got to be washed afterwards, for sure.

Nikwax basewash is the product you are looking for. great stuff, life changing, etc.

Yes bought some. So far after jersey warms up from body heat.... No stink. Finally, thx for the info. 🤟

Also somewhat related to this topic.... Mental note to self, never buy MTB shorts without belt loops. I lose weight every spring/ summer. Then proceed to bitch my shorts won't stay up because I'm at the max smallest with the lame velcro systems they are flogging....
