When I had my Bullit I used a 425 lb spring, I weighed about 230 without gear. I used about 80-90 lbs air, kept it plush, still no pedal bob.

im 173 and i use a 350 pound spring on my fifth. I like a little more sag than most though. I also do not run more than 100 psi in the chamber, i never pedal up hill.

I'm somewhere between 170-180 lbs. [HTML_REMOVED] I run the stock 325 lb. spring with about 100-130 psi.
I find it a little soft, but it's still pretty good [HTML_REMOVED] doesn't bottom on big stuff or bob when I pedal.

Hmmmm…I'm 180 with no gear and I have the 325 lb. spring. I also have a 425 lb. spring. I was curious as to whether I should switch. I do not go huge. 6 feet tops (at the moment) :-], but I am also about as smooth as a gravel road.

Do you bottom a lot? Or are you just curious? It sounds like your weight [HTML_REMOVED] riding are similar to mine, so if you do the switch, let me know how it turns out. I've been thinking about getting a slightly stiffer spring. Like I said in my earlier post, I almost never bottom. But sometimes it feels like I go through too much travel on smaller jumps/drops. Just a bit too "squishy".

I had about 50% sag with the 350 so I went w/ a 425 and love it. I'm about 185 lbs.

i would say for you to go to the 425 and take a little out of the chamber. Also have your preload set pretty soft.

Shit…I was gonna change it. Upon closer inspection I saw that it's a 475 lb. spring.
