Boxxer Thru Axel 'End Caps'

Has anyone been able to source out replacement 'end caps' for their Boxxer axle. I have now spoken to (2) shops and they both have told me that RS only sells these pieces as a set. It would not be so bad if a set meant having to buy two caps at a time but instead a set comprises of an axle and the two caps. I have not asked what it would cost to bring these pieces in but I am sure it is way more then we would expect. If anyone knows of a fastener place that carries something compatible it would be much appreciated. I realize I could rig something together with washers and a long bolt but I want to put the forks up for sale.
