Hey guys, I havn't posted in a long time, but I figured this was worth it. Rack Attack (Vancouver and Coquitlam) just did a buy out of the Sportworks T2 bike racks. Here's a little history for those who don't know:
Sportworks made the worlds greatest hitch bike rack (they are the company that made the racks for all the buses in vancouver). Thule bought this company, and now sells the same rack under the Thule brand.

So, the best 2 bike bike rack (ask Cam, he uses it if I remember correctly) made from sportworks, is on sale for $500. Plus we'll give you the 10% bro card discount on top of that.

The same rack from Thule is $625

If you need a bike rack, this is a deal you should jump on.

The rack:

Holds 2 bikes (can be expanded to hold 3 and 4 bikes)
Holds bike by the wheels (like on buses), so all bikes fit, no exeptions.
Bomber construction, easy to use
fits 1 1/4 and 2" hitches. (you can't use the 3rd and 4th bike add on for the 1 1/4 version)

if you have any questions call Rack Attack
604 872 7225

I should check this as well, so you can post here.

how wide of tires will it hold, I had a friend w./ really wide DH tires, and we had to let out a little air before it would fit

That's the problem with cities, they're refuges for the weak, the fish that didn't evolve.

I don't want to google this - sounds like a thing that NSMB will be better at.

you shouldnt need to let out any air. This is the newer T2 model. The cradle for the front tire that you are thinking about has be redesigned. I have the older one you are talking about too, but the one he is offering looks like this

I guess you could argue that… But I was posting is because I figured people would like to know. Selling the bike racks I'm talking about here will not be a problem, they need no advertising to sell them. I posted it here, and only here because I wanted the NSMB community to have a heads up that they can get the best rack you can get, for $200 less then it usually costs.

If you think this information is not usefull to the people on the board, and is in fact spam, write cam and get him to take it down. I posted it thinking It might help some people out.

This is just Rack Attack. We bought out all the Sportworks braded T2's left. So no one else will have them, unless they have old stock.

Will the T2 work with an X-Trail?

Thanks.

I'm looking at a rack for an X-Trail too. The factory hitch is a Class 1, 1.25 inch receiver. So according tot he original post it'll fit but you can't expand it.

ride, build, ride some more….

If you have an X-Trail, get a custom 2" hitch install at E[HTML_REMOVED]H. I have seen it done a couple X-Trails and they look solid.

I have one of these racks (actually with the 3rd and 4th bike add on), and I can verify it will hold a Michelin 2.8 tire with no problems at all.

If anybody buys one, PM me. I have 2 locking anti-wobble bolts that I bought with my rack you can have for any reasonable offer. Price them at a retailer and offer me 40% of that and they are yours. I bought the THULE T2 version and it came with the Sportworks locking bolts which are too large.

This rack is amazing, and actually better constructed than the new Thule T2 (my first 2 racks are the Thule and the add ons are the Sportworks).

I ordered mine from:
http://www.backcountry.com

I think I got each extension for about $110 USD. You have to keep checking this website, as their stock goes up and down.
